Server Side Troubleshooting

I try to start the odbcdmn and get the error: fatal: libiodbc.so: open failed: No such file or directory

Check to make sure that you have set LD_LIBRARY_PATH correctly in your environment. It should be set to the /bin directory of your UNIFY release. NOTE: AIX and HP-UX users should set the LIBPATH or SHLIB_PATH variable respectively instead of LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

I try to start the odbcdmn and get the error: The '$UNIFY/unify.msg' message file does not exist or is not accessible

Check and make sure that you have the UNIFY environment variable set to the /lib directory of the UNIFY release.

I try to start the odbcdmn and get the error: # Licensing error: Executable is not licensed for this machine.

Please ensure that you have received a DBIntegrator license key from UNIFY and that the hostname is correct. If you are unsure of your machines hostname you can use the utility prlcinf located in the $UNIFY/../unsup (for DataServer ELS) or $UNIFY/../diag (for DataServer) directory of your UNIFY release. The proper full command to get hostname information is: prlcinf -Ohostname (Note: type the command as it is shown there - do NOT replace 'hostname' with your machines hostname.)
